2008 CBR1000RR oil burning issue
« on: January 27, 2012, 01:48:50 PM »

It's done less than 6,000km but I think my bike is one of the oil burners.

Has anyone gone through the same here? Will Honda fix this?

I was going to buy a 2nd hand 2008 a few weeks back, and the owner said that Al Futtaim fixed the oil burning problem under warranty. Your best bet is to check with al futtaim directly. They did extend the warranty for the clutch problem recall though

Will ask the next time I'm there.

In practice I think it only means that I'll be topping up the oil a bit more often so I'm not too concerned, but we'll see. It's a US import, hope they don't make that an issue.
