Hi guys,

I am considering buying a used bike in Dubai.
What is the process for that ? I mean what are the official doc the owner should provide me with?
Is there a compulsory technical control for bike (if yes, where?)
How to control the bike is not pledged ?

Go to the Tasjeel or whatever. Barsha suits most people and is open till 10pm.

The owner has to pay 120 AED to get the bike tested.

Once the bike has passed, you need to get an insurance document.

Then you can transfer.

if the bike is financed, the ownership is with the bank, and the owner can't sell it without a clearance letter.

As far as I know, you can't get stung with a financed or stolen bike, the process will stop before you own it.

Don't hand over your cash until the process is done. Simple.

A guy is offering a bike newly imported and bnever registered in UAE. Any clue of it works to register a bike newly imported ?
Does it worth the hassle ? Costy ?

The person that imported it needs a certificate, it's called VLCC or something like that.

If he doesn't have that paper, forget about it.

From the buyer's perspective, you want to leave all that side of things to the seller, and the cost to you is no different.
