5 to 6 won't get you a great deal but it's not impossible to find a bike. Most of the shops are in industrial area 6 but you can hit a few more places if you go around industrial area 3. 6000 will get you a Jade like mine
, or a Bandit 250. Hornet 250 will set you back by 9000. 400cc bikes like Honda CB400 Super Four are between 8 and 10 thousand and there can be an Inazuma or two for around 7500. Everything else in a "sit&drive" condition is 10000+. The prices are like that because they are all Jap imports, and bikes 600cc and higher are expensive in Japan.
You should go and take a look anyhow as the business is slow these days because the trade with Iran stopped and the guys just might want to accept offers.

Spikes,
First confirm with them if they will get it passed and registered in the UAE. Coz when i used to go and check used bikes they said we will just sell it from here and will not guarantee if UAE registers it.

easy to send to another country.

may not be easy to register in that country... mine would not be worth trying without correct papers.

@Branko, you say "the trade with Iran has stopped", can you say more about that because that is where the stolen/ringed bikes go. This could be good news for us here....

yeah, well... Ever since the US has started the latest embargo on Iran the border is closed and local traders cannot export anything to Iran anymore. Just a few months ago trade with Iran counted for 90% of their business because for Iran you didn't have to have any other paper but an invoice!? Now it's all standing still and many warehouses are full of bikes that can't be sold so if anybody is buying a bike be careful as the papers might be fake. Now, I'm not in the business myself but I live and work nearby and I'm always there looking around and talking to people.

I pray that by all modes of transport roadways / water ways / airways etc  :bike: bikes going out to IRAN has stopped in that case i might get my stolen  :bike: bike back. whenever the  :police: cops do an inspection of those  :bike: bike stacked in their godowns without papers / documents.
That will be a good news for all those like me who have lost our bikes / cars

Does anybody know if Yas Motorcycles garage in Sharjah is trustworthy ?
'cause when i asked if it's easy to register their bikes in Dubai, the guy on the phone was elusive and quite arrogant.

Spykes, we can go together to have a look if you want. Lost myself in Sharjah industrial zone one saturday trying to find the Graal :(

If there is any doubt with these Sharjah dealers then why bother at all?

if you could potentially purchase a stolen bike with fake papers or a badly repaired written off bike, it why even bother entertaining them. If the demand stops then so does the supply of dodgy bikes in the country.

Having previously purchased a car which turned out to be stolen (restamped chassis number, fake papers, and cloned) believe me its no end of grief.
