Thanks for the feedback on the prices, Yes i agree prices are a bit expensive for the Salalah trip but its mostly down to the fact that
the good hotels in Salalah are limited to 5 star hotels (Hilton/Rotana) both charge an exuberant price especial since we will be having
a full board package.

Maybe Shadi you can work out another option where you don't offer 5 star hotel but budget hotels. I am sure most of the bikers want a bed to sleep and most of the time will be out. If people want to be true adventurer let them camp out under the stars.

you are right about that Maddog, last time i went to salalah was 2 years ago. i stayed 5 nights, 3 of them i camped on the beach
and 2 in the mountains.... its still one of the best trip i ever had.

thanks for your input, i will make sure next time to put together a camping only trip.

Thanks
Shadi

that's exactly the spirit many bikers are looking for Shadi...I keep 5 star hotels for my company to pay when I travel ;)...the rest of my personal trips I almost never pais more
than 20 USD/night... :broke:;)...

Very true guys.

This is not "shaikh's" adventure; rather, it's bikers adventure.

i am somehow surprised about the replies that camping trips are preferred.
beginning of September is around the end of the raining season, not very suitable for camping.
when i made the Dubai-Salalah-Muscat-Dubai tour in 2009 only 2 bikers joined - reason we camped and stayed only 2 nights in the Crown Plaza Salalah.
best time for camping tours to Oman is November - March. Before and after its either to hot or to humid.
the tour in September was planned as hotel tour based on the preferences of the bikers interested to join.

This is true for Muscat. However, if we're driving through Muscat, or even stay for one night, then it's OK.
Salalah's season (best weather), on the other hand, starts end of June till September, when it starts to dry a little (which is good for bikes)

"The right time to visit Salalah is around the season of monsoon, in the month of June to September. It is at this time that the town
witnesses most of the tourist influx."

most of the tourists, yes if you like rain.
Salalah is know as favourite tourist destination for Middle Easterner (especially Saudis), excaping the hot summer and "enjoying" the rain.

I do agree options offered r too expensive, it would have been great to go on adventure basis, camping, "sleepin a la belle etoile"  that's the beauty of a trip by bike...

Unless you're part of the "jet set bike group" lol personally im not

just sharing my opinion...
