Hello Max,
Wow! Now that’s a fantastic machine. Is it the 500 or the 600 version?
Some collector would be mighty pleased to add it to their collection.
I had the opportunity to ride a 3 speed, girder forked, 500 cc version and it was ‘fun’.
For the mechanically inclined, its fun to watch the many chain drives all whirling around, the thermosyphon radiator and the cooling jacket around the barrel.
The barrel is painted ‘red’ so it’s a ‘road’ version; the ‘green’ painted ones are rarer than hens’ teeth!
It’s a pity that there are no photos of the radiator, one look at a Scott radiator and you’ll be lamenting at the lost tradition of hand crafting metal.
Sigh! Happy Daze!
All the very best in your endeavours, would love to see it here in the UAE - in flesh and blood.
Take care and stay well.
Reg,
JK

As a strange coincidence I'm just flicking through a Coleraine Historical Society book and there's a cutting from The Motor Cycle of a 1956 price list. The 498cc Scott Squirrel was 275 quid new, so Eddie I was thinking somewhere around 250 quid as its well used by now!!
