I also remember seeing 2 Jensens in Musaffa (One in bits) but no idea where they were sadly.

Anyone have any idea? Could go and have a look but it's 16 years since I've been to Musaffa (are the airbus bits still lying around?). Might be worth a try anyway - just to see if there are any useful bits left.

I remember seeing one on dubizzle a couple of years ago - as a Jaguar Jensen Interceptor - clearly Jensen wasn't available as the maker. I tried later to find it but no luck.

p.s. I spotted another new member out here in one of the club mags a while ago but in Dubai, I think.

Not unless you just rejoined after an absence - was listed as a new member - will try to find the mag and check.

I did my apprenticeship on Jensen's............it was a tough time..............now if you had an SP !!!!!!!

I used to look after one here about 13 years ago. it belonged to a British guy who was in advertising or magazines or something, have no idea if its still here.

I can only imagine the trouble you'd have trying to get an SP registered here......"I SWEAR it was fitted as original equipment.......NO, I HAVEN'T tuned it!" LOL. :bawling:

At least I know who to plead to now when I forget how to put it back together again.........  ;D

I'll try this Saturday to have a scan around and see if i can remember the place as im due to go there regarding a carpet for the 911. It would be easier maybe on a Friday as its not the most user friendly driving (While scanning the side-roads for a Jensen) place  ;D

Just spoke to Rob - he actually knows the place - they are both, in fact, Jensen FF s, believe it or not! Unfortunately, not the parts trove that I was hoping for but great to know there are more of them out here.

Progress report time again.

I have been busy over the past weeks finishing off the inner sills (fabricating / fitting / welding in the new panels), inner wings (ditto) and other small welding projects around the engine bay - which is now complete.

In an affort towards getting all of the "dirty" jobs done, allowing me to clean up the garage and have a somewhat more respectable workplace (not to mention madame getting her parking space back), I also launched into tidying up the interior. Initially, I was only going to remove the old glue and leave the paint alone but decided that a) I'd rather do it properly and make sure there's no more rust (found NONE!) and b) it was just as easy to remove the paint at the same time.

For comparison, here's the old shot, showing the remnants of the "hardura" matting that was glued in under the carpets, and/or carpet glue that was everywhere.

And then the "after" shot....

I think I can fairly say a significant improvement, even if it's not quite done yet - little bits remaining in corners etc.  - until I get out there today, that is!

After this, I plan on fixing the rippled boot floor, the rusty tailgate and the dinged door, then all I need to do is clean and reassemble the front suspension (with new poly bushes), strip the paint, prep the body and I can get it painted! Then start putting it back together.

I bought 20 wheels and have already resharpened them! I did try them but clean & strip discs work better and faster for this stuff. Half the learning process is figuring out which of the gismos is best for the job (not to mention technique - or the lack / learning of it!).

Anyway, no fun today - off to work.

Enjoy your weekend, Guys  :bawling:

I hope you protected that nice and shiny metal that you worked so hard for before leaving for work? :)

Actually, the thing that's making it so nice and shiny is 2 coats of cold galvanising spray   ;D
