track mirrors - flat or convex?
« on: February 19, 2012, 01:19:23 PM »

need to get some new mirrors on the clubbie asap. being buzzed by the gulf f430 in the sandstorm friday was a little rough on the nerves given i couldn't see it charging up the inside. i think bigmac must have eyes in the back of his head!

looking at single seater type mirrors, mounted to the rollcage as on chris's lovely orange caterham. they come in either flat or convex. i am errring towards the latter for increased visibility, but wanted a more learned opinion before i order.

cheers.

 ;D

i just wanted to know what the pros and cons of each are. it seems to me that convex would be better but then the flat ones must have some benefits as they're also FIA approved.
