A lonely 928
« on: February 05, 2012, 02:26:40 PM »

Hi all,

I have spotted a lonely silver 928 with a For Sale note stuck in the back ... gathering dust just off Interchange 3, when you hop off the flyover from Al Quoz towards Jumeirah. To get to it you have to be on the service road by the new Infiniti showroom.

Don't have anything to do with the car, except it breaks my heart to see it just sitting there ... so if you are in the market, maybe it will be happy with you? ;)

If it makes anyone feel any better, I think this 928 was a bit of a lemon.  I can remember seeing struggeling to make 10k at an auction and it's RTA report BAD.  Definitely the same car as it had those same wheels on it.

I think it's gone to the cark park in sky...  :violin:

Interesting worth looking at though and surprised Gilles from GT Autos in Al Quoz has not bought it yet as he has a good collection on 928's down there at the mo (his own white GTS and fellow french man's black GTS)

One or two month ago i saw it and called the owner; he was asking 15000AED.
As far i remember the car looked like being an import from Germany (because of some sticker on the windshield). Some windshield joints were missing at the top and those of doors windows were in poor state. Noticed some rot on brake calipers and discs but surely due to lack of use. Couldn't see the seats conditions as they were covered with fake fure  :laff:
It's a 928 S so first shape of 928.

Lads where exactly is this 928 was down there at the weekend took the service road past the Infinity showroom looped around behind and couldn't see sh*t. I take it's been snaffled up and shipped to Iran / Baku or some trash-can-istan in the hope of quick profit and road ready.
If it was S4 it would be worth it but S's at that age and left like that would fall apart quicker than a chinese motorcyle. Literally the thing would try and finger-bang your wallet any time you opened it.
