Would you like some snacks with that?
« on: January 15, 2012, 10:03:36 AM »

Here's a nice surprise to start the week,,,

Ordered myself a BMW Angled Valve Stem to avoid breaking the tire valve like last time (was pretty costly with the embedded tire pressure monitor!) and it just arrived via Amazon/Aramex this morning. I open the envelope, and first thing that comes out is an m&m's! At first I thought it was a prank or that customs were having fun with me, but then I dug deeper and found the actual ordered part! Still, it's pleasant to know that someone out there is adding a spice to shipping!

its weird especially that food products are prohibited in aramex shipments. where do u think it was added? u think aramex open the packages before shipping them or they trust the bill of material from the supplier??  ???  ;D

It's definitely from the US since the snacks were distributed from NJ and has all the fat/carb/sugar content in an obvious graphical format.. Am just as surprised that it made it through customs!!

Will definitely call the the Amazon store that sold it to confirm if it's a good will gesture!!

You might want to get a chemical analysis ;D  on those m&ms before you ask Aramex too many questions   :police:

Or they could just be m&ms !

It's ridiculous that bikes with fat tyres aren't always fitted with angled valve stems from the factory. It's also ludicrous that when you try to buy an adapter in the middle east, shopkeepers look at you as if you've just asked for a gold-plated stoat.

I got mine (an adapter; not a stoat) from Wolfi's bike shop, SZR Dubai, but someone nicked it when the bike was shipped to Qatar. Replacement by mail order.
