The race was great, all 24hrs of it, the only bad part was being blinded by the sunlight bouncing of Ferrets bonce when he was up in the chopper :)

Oh how I laughed when I looked down to see everyone running for cover from the sandstorm with the backwash from my the chopper

What a great event the 24 hour is. Is anyone interested in a 6 hour relay race for the club and track day people like the AROCA and Winton MSCA 6 hour in Oz . To all those Morons who move near to airports and race tracks and then complain about the noise.,  why dont you stick your head where the sun dont shine and let the rest of us get on with life and having fun. Life is full of choices, and where you live is one of them.

Congratulations, as always, to those local teams who put their money and reputations where their mouths are and have the b*lls to stand up and be counted in this great international race. And to those who snipe from the sidelines ? Aw diddums...... did the nasty boys keep you from sleeping all night  :blahblah:

When I first turned up at the SVDP Racing pit, shortly before the race, morale was distinctly low. But what is a mere photographer to do? Well, armed with a couple of decent cameras and a "Press Photo" vest, you'd be surprised how cooperative the Dunlop girls can be when you ask them to cheer up a few friends.....

See the girl on Spencer's left arm? Turned out she's a bit of a diesel specialist. Well, I assume so, 'cos Ian told me 30 seconds after this picture was taken she was bent over the bonnet of Spencer's car taking a long hard look at his injector.

Happy to help guys. Call me anytime  ;D

Cheers Tim, now which one of those young ladies did you give your buisiness card to and where did she keep it (yes we had a few ideas, none of them clean)?

Third from the left mate, the little one. (Well, just the right height, depending on what she's doing at the time  :wanka:). She put it somewhere safe. Somewhere private.

And the good news is, my cards are laminated  :laff:

So it was you?  :angryfire:

How do you ruin a nicely rubbered in track? Take one helicopter and fly it over the sandiest part of the infield and VOILA! Slippiest first corner of the weekend!

And as for the noise of that helicopter, I don't pay my rent for northerners to ruin the ambience by playing Magnum at the weekends!

Dan, did you not hear the forecast on Radio Le Mans....Said there were gonna be dust storms blowing in.....Well. when they hadn't arrived by the start of the race, we were given a brief to make our own......Which I think we managged quite well  :laff:

I have this mental image of a cartoon caricature of Ferret laughing maniacally and splashing a barrel of ACME Crash Fluid across turn 1.

There were 2 different groups of people at that moment, the ones in a close vicinity getting their faces sandblasted diving for cover screaming "What the Fcuk does he think he's doing?" and the other group who were far enough away from the carnage pointing to the helicopter and saying "What the Fcuk does he think he's doing?"

Was a comical part of the weekend really.  ;D

In all honesty it was a bit of a disaster really all ways round. The film crew guy's turning up late in the first place which delayed us getting airborne...   :wanka:

Once we got up there I found out that the pilot didn't have a full grasp on the English (Yorkshire) language....Yeah I know, not many do understand us Yorkshire folk. Everything was relayed through the co-jockey whilst we had a guy sat in the back as an observer from the ministry or whatever making sure we didn't take images of 'National  Importance'

By the time the instructions had gone round the houses the race was nearly over  :smiley_banghead: The TV guy was supposed to direct the pilot as to where he needed to go for the best race footage but didn't open his mouth once.... ??? So, I had full control (of sorts) of directing him...Talk about the blind leading the blind.... :laff:

Anyways, I got what I needed and f**k know's what the TV footage was like but it was entertaining to say the least.....Got to love a bit of drama eh?

Me and a mate were on that first bend and it was like a scene from Platoon, with the guy in the black shirt looking up at the helicopter, arms outstreched, mouthing 'Why'!!!!!!!!!!!
