Carbon fiber (help)
« on: January 29, 2012, 01:11:58 PM »

Hey guys, so I sold the Scirocco and got a Bora V6 4motion as a transition car for the time being.. Now I love the car, and I might actually keep it, but the fake mahogany panels on the inside are annoying me, I don't like the look and I don't like the feel. What I want to do is, replace them with carbon fiber as I think it would fit nicely with the black interior. I guess I could do it myself, but I don't have the space, the time nor the expertise to do it, so I'd love somebody more skilled to do it for me. If there isn't a place for these small jobs to be done by a professional I wouldn't mind getting help from any of you guys who have the time, space and the experience and are willing to help. All the originals parts are on the car so molding shouldn't be a problem.
THANKS!

Thanks, I'll give it a try, but I'd still like to go for the real thing because I'd like to achieve the textured feel of carbon fiber, not only the looks, so if anyone knows something please speak!

There's a VW Club UAE on Facebook, they might be able to help you.

I'm a member but there doesn't seem to be any useful info.. Anyway, I went for the foil wrap and it turned out amazing! Thanks for the idea, the guys at Zawrooq in Sharjah helped me out, thanks! They do all kinds of stickers and logos as well. I made some pics but the light was crappy (was dark). I will make other pics when I figure out what to do with the gear knob and install the LCD, so it's all done, think it's gonna be sweet!
