Steel tube and sheet etc.
« on: January 31, 2012, 08:00:28 PM »

FYI, I found a small place selling light-ish steel stock such as round/square tube, angle, and sheet, e.g. 6M of 40mm angle 80dhs and so on. They would cut up the tube etc. but not a sheet.. :( They don't sell heavier structural stuff, maybe up to 80mm angle for example, or a bit more.

Pearl Light Trading, in Ras Al Khor road, shortly after the petrol station and before the big car testing place when travelling East (towards Ras Al Khor from DXB). You have to pull off into the access road well before.

Yep used that one, not bad, but hard to fit a full sheet in the Prado.
Mind you Gareth (a2b) has both a bender and a cutter now, very handy it is too.....

Do they happen to fabricate it/weld it all together to form a design/structure, like a rollcage for instance?
