New for the 2007-2008 season the Open Saloon Class of racing. Originally intended as an add on series to add diversity to the GTI cup, it looks like the open series will become the defacto tin-top race series in Dubai. Its sad that the Open Saloon series may have influenced the demise of the highly competitive GTI cup, however, sometimes you have to go back to go forwards. Hopefully over time the Open Saloon series will build up to be an entertaining diverse series.
The newly launched Tracktalk will publish race results and pictures throughout the season, here are some pictures of the seasons opener.
